To spread the word about Gerber Collision’s Technician Development Program (TDP) among high school and college-aged students, our team members have been presenting at career fairs across the country. This year, the TDP team has visited the UTI career fair in Long Beach, the CREF auto show in Oklahoma City, the Waubonsee Community College career fair, the Fort Wayne Community Schools career fair, and the FMTC career fair in Fort Myers.
Throughout these career fairs, the TDP team has had the opportunity to expand students’ interest and knowledge of collision repair while connecting with hundreds of potential technicians. The Technician Development Program looks forward to participating in more career fairs in the future.
What is the Technician Development Program?
The Technician Development Program (TDP) is an 18-month program where an entry-level trainee works hands-on with a skilled mentor to become a successful body technician.
